NINA PARK / MAKE-UP

Nina Park was raised in Chicago and studied makeup at Ecole Privée de maquillage Professionel FLEURIMON in Paris, where she resided for two years. Nina has a background in portraiture and painting and a natural inclination for makeup. After undergraduate and professional school she moved to New York in 2010 to pursue a career as a freelance makeup artist.

Though a classically trained pianist Nina was overwhelmingly attracted to the world of fashion, beauty and celebrity from a very early age. Her mom, as far back as she could remember was the first glamorous woman she knew. Nina took great pleasure in closely observing her makeup application. And her favorite pastime was to deface her Mom’s fashion magazines with an ink pen, reshaping the lips and lashes of models in the beauty and fashion editorials. Nina is inspired by the natural structures and shadows of the face and believes in enhancing rather than hiding features.

Nina assists the renowned makeup artist Peter Philips in New York. In addition, she assists Aaron De Mey, James Kaliardos and Diane Kendal on the shows. They include A list designers: YSL resort, Chanel resort, Oscar De La Renta, Rag & Bone, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Zoe, Jill Stuart, L'wren Scott, Gap, Banana Republic and St John.

Nina is currently focused on establishing her own career. Her editorial work has appeared in Harper's Bazaar Australia, Elle Korea, Vogue Italia and L'Officiel Ukraine.
